Abstract

The article focuses on ethno-cultural development of toddlers and preschoolers. The authors substantiate the idea of enriching the ethno-cultural component of the child-developing subject-spatial environment of the kindergarten. The authors study the introduction of toddlers and preschoolers to national traditions through hand-made toys. The family is of particular importance for the ethnocultural development of children, while toys are directly related to the upbringing and development of toddlers and preschoolers. The study of the possibilities of the educational environment made it possible to consider a knitted toy with national attributes as a means of ethno-cultural development of children.

The authors studied the influence of knitted toys with Buryat national attributes on the ethno-cultural development of preschoolers. The authors determined the parameters of ethnocultural development of toddlers and preschoolers. The purpose of the study was to identify and substantiate the role of knitted toys in the ethno-cultural development of toddlers and preschoolers. Knitted toys were chosen at the initiative of teachers and parents. It was also noted that children play with knitted toys with great interest and enjoy them tactilely.

The hypothesis put forward at the beginning of the study was confirmed and substantiated. The study allowed the authors to conclude that the use of knitted toys in the ethno-cultural development of toddlers and preschoolers is effective under certain conditions. The authors developed a methodological card index of conversations, games and game exercises to facilitate the use of knitted toys of ethnic content in preschool educational institutions. Knitted toys with Buryat national attributes will be included in different regime moments and types of children’s activities.
