Aims & Scope

The Comprehensive Child Studies Journal (alternative title Kompleksnye issledovaniya detstva) is an interdisciplinary journal publishing comprehensive childhood-related research: theoretical reviews, experimental results and methodological tools used to foster various traits in children.

The journal’s scope sets it apart from other similar periodicals: it covers all the ages, including adulthood, when discussing causes of adult behaviour originating in one’s childhood. Our focus is not limited to a single region either. Indeed, childhood is seen as a phenomenon that can only be studied in a comprehensive manner with joint efforts of theoretical researchers and practical specialists from different fields—genetics, psychology, medicine, education, sociology, philosophy—countries and cultures.

We welcome papers describing novel theoretical approaches to research into and understanding of childhood, both controversial and well-argued.
